After your landlord receives

After your landlord receives an eviction ruling in their favor, you have ten days in the state of Missouri to appeal the decision. If you wish to appeal the decision and stay in the property while the appeal is pending, you may be able to if you post a bond. If you do not appeal the eviction decision, and you remain in the property after the ten day appeal period, the landlord can contact the Sheriff and ask the Sheriff to remove you from the property. This is called an execution for possession. It can take up to three days for the information from the court to reach the sheriff’s office. Usually the Sheriff will execute the request within a week. However, you should not rely on these approximations and should discuss your case with a qualified Missouri attorney.
